Podcast - The Daily Edge

This episode of God, Money & Purpose was recorded live at The Next Level Virtual Leadership Summit 2020. Vivian and Raul Villacis share their insights of over 22 years of marriage. Every relationship evolves over time. Hopefully, the two people in it will grow separately, and together. At each major growth stage, each partner has to alleviate the other’s anxiety that they are not enough.

Raul has said many times that he went through a tunnel, and went to many self-development coaches to learn what it would take to get through it. Vivian didn’t understand that he was improving himself as a goal, only that he was improving his business skills. Raul barely understood it himself, but he unintentionally left her unsure of where she stood in the relationship. The episode closes with a Q&A session with the virtual audience.

Why Are Women so ANGRY!?

Are women (and girls) more angry today than they were 10 years ago? According to trends in Gallop polls, they are. Why is this happening? On this episode of God, Money & Purpose, Raul and Vivian endeavor to find out why. Our take on it is that women are pushed to embrace the masculine side by hustle culture, and the problem is exacerbated by attracting weak men with that masculine energy. As a result, women have more and more responsibility on their shoulders, and don’t get to tap into that more feminine energy inside them. That leads to frustration and a feeling of hopelessness. What can women do to embrace their feminine energy in a demanding world? And what can men do to support them? Watch this episode to find out.

It’s a Barbie World! Vivian and Raul Review The Barbie Movie

On this episode of the GMS Podcast, review their lessons from watching Barbie. While many people are getting bogged down on whether this movie empowers women or is too woke, our review focuses on the events portrayed in the movie, and leaves politics at the door. In the movie, Barbie is having a perfect day, every day. But one day, things are not perfect, and she doesn’t know what to do with herself. In the movie, Barbie has to learn who she is when she doesn’t have the perfect life with the perfect high arches and the Malibu dream house. Ken also has his own journey where he has to discover who he is without being Barbie’s boyfriend. The movie is meant to be fun, but it’s surprisingly thought-provoking. Watch this video to help you decide if you want to watch Barbie with your favorite lady.

Why Are Young Men in a Mental Health Crisis?

In this episode of Raul Reacts, I review an interview between Andrew Huberman and Shawn Ryan. Huberman, a neuroscientist and biohacker podcaster, discusses his feelings on fatherhood with Ryan, a former Navy SEAL and CIA contractor. In the episode, Huberman quotes Robert Bly, who says that without father figures, “Demons” will fill the void. In other words, the goal of any father is to set an example for their children. Providing financial stability is not enough, a good father must provide emotional support to raise happy children who become stable adults.
