Conversation starters for troubled marriages

Podcast - The Daily Edge

After taking a week off so Raul could teach a boot camp, the GMS Podcast is back. In this episode, Raul and Vivian discuss how difficult it is for men to be vulnerable. As men, we have been conditioned to not ask for help, and to armor yourself in order to go into battle. But that armor becomes isolating, and ends up becoming a barrier to connecting with your partner, with your friends, and with God.

Men have a tendency of overcompensating for being a strong lion at work, by being a weak pussycat at home because they don’t know how to balance their own needs and their partner’s needs. Women also have a tendency to stay in a nurturing, mother energy, even in situations when it’s appropriate to bring out the temptress state and let loose. As a result, a relationship can get stale and an unspoken frustration seeps in. The best way to deal with this is to have clear conversations to set a strategy to meet an expressed (not tacitly understood) goal. Both partners have to take responsibility, but there is no upside in complaining or blaming.

REACTING TO ANDREW TATE: Is Toxic Masculinity Real?

This is a reaction video to the interview Andrew Tate did with YouTube podcasters Fresh & Fit. Andrew Tate is blowing up on the internet, according to my son, and I want to see this interview for myself.

In this interview, Tate goes all in proclaiming that toxic masculinity is a phrase made up by angry, man-hating feminists. According to him, all masculinity is perceived as toxic masculinity, and women complaining about men is a first world problem.

My opinion on Tate himself is that he is very much in touch with his dark warrior. The dark warrior wants to hunt, fight, and have sex, but it’s inevitable that the dark warrior burns everything to the ground because he can’t create, he can only destroy. I believe that being a dark warrior is only one step along the way to becoming a king, which means a complete man who owns his life.

Watch the video to see highlights from the interview Tate did with Fresh & Fit, and my reactions to them.
